SP Jain Model United Nation 2018 at the Singapore Campus

SP Jain’s Singapore campus hosted the SP Jain Model United Nations (SPJMUN) Conference 2018 between 16th to 18th March. The event was inaugurated by Dr Usen Suleimen (Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Singapore) and Mr. Lee Kwang Boon (Deputy President of the United Nations Association of Singapore).

BBA Student Aces the MBC Group Student Hack Organised at the Dubai Lynx Festival

Between 11th to 14th Mar, BBA student Rohan Bhatia and his team-mates Ana Júlia de Oliveira (Middlesex University Dubai) and Mishal Paracha (SAE Institute Dubai) participated at the MBC Group Student Hack organised at the Dubai Lynx Festival, winning the competition.

Learning to push limits – Guest Session with Yi Zhang (VP, Schneider Electric)

On 8th March 2018, students at SP Jain Dubai had an opportunity to attend a guest session by Mr. Yi Zang (Vice President, Global Value Brands, Schneider Electric). He shared his personal experiences and tips about brand portfolio management, growing international talent management across the globe, and the importance of diverse work culture at Schneider Electric. He also gave the students tips to keep in mind while applying for a job from the HR’s viewpoint.

BBA Jaguars Emerge Winners at the 17th Inter University Cross Fire Debate Competition in Dubai

Divya Shishodia and Amartya Majumdar, BBA Students currently studying at the Dubai Campus, emerged winners at 17th Inter University Cross Fire Debate competition conducted by Skyline University College, Sharjah. The debate on "Will Artificial Intelligence surpass Human Intelligence?" was conducted on 28th February.

SP Jain Xpressions – Alumni Come Together at the Singapore Campus

On 22nd February, our Singapore campus saw another successful round of SP Jain Xpressions. The speaker for the session was EMBA alumnus Azhar Othman, Regional Managing Director at Enercon Asia Pte Ltd. He spoke on the topic "Mind your Future; Success Starts from the Present".

During the session, Azhar shared how he saved a company that was on the verge of closure and turned it around to a multi-million-dollar business spanning across Asia.

How E-Commerce Logistics Is Changing Cities - Charles Brewer Speaks at the Singapore Campus

In a very engaging and interactive guest lecture at the Leadership Hall of SP Jain Singapore, the CEO of DHL e-commerce, Charles Brewer held a session with students on “How E-Commerce Logistics is changing cities” on the 22nd of February 2018. He discussed how cities of the future will work differently, and at the heart of their success will be the efficiency urban e-commerce. Initiating the session by talking about the current status of the e-commerce industry in different marketplaces, he gave the students a broader understanding of the power of the e-Commerce industry and its associated future potential growth.

Students & Staff Participate in the Annual Spring Reception 2018, Singapore

On 18th February 2018, Students and Staff from SP Jain’s Singapore campus were invited by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) to join them in the Annual Spring Reception 2018.

The festive event was a great opportunity to expose students to the local Chinese culture, as well as the diversity within the Singapore society. Co-organised with the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (SCCC), over 800 guests were invited to the event, including political holders, foreign dignitaries, Chinese community leaders, and youth.
