A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on November 29, 2019 between SP Jain School of Global Management, Singapore and Feed 9 Billion (Feed9B), a Singapore-based innovation platform, in collaboration with Innovate360 and other strategic partners – Temasek Polytechnic; SIM AEC Pte Ltd; Focustech Ventures; Budding Innovations Pte Ltd; Beanstalk; Big Idea Ventures and Padang & Company Pte Ltd.

The multi-partner collaboration aims to build an open ecosystem platform promoting innovation and sustainability through collaboration between entrepreneurs, startups, corporate and government to feed 9.8 billion people by 2050. All entities came together to signify the importance of each partner in making this ecosystem work.

Additionally, the MoU includes facilitation of possible internships and placement opportunities for SP Jain students with Feed9B and its network.

The evening also saw the launch of “The Good Food Start-up Manual: Singapore Edition” by The Good Food Institute, a US-based non-profit funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Feed9B. The manual focuses on the conceptualisation and setup of the business; sourcing for funding and mentorship; creation of commercially scalable products; and the navigation of legal and regulatory requirements.

On this occasion, Dr John Fong, CEO & Head of Campus (Singapore), SP Jain shared, “We are very proud to be a part of the Feed 9B initiative in collaboration with Innovate 360 and other strategic partners. SP Jain is at the forefront of crafting the business leaders of tomorrow and this MoU will provide us with access to top accelerators, incubators and venture capitalists that are shaping the industry. This partnership will also enable us to place SP Jain students at the top of their minds for internships, projects and full-time jobs.”
