On 26^th August 2025, members and guests came together at the Singapore Campus as the SP Jain Singapore Toastmasters Club hosted its first Humorous Speech and Evaluation Speech contest of the term. The evening was filled with laughter, high energy, and inspiring showcases of public speaking and evaluation skills.

Serving as the Contest Toastmaster, Jhunilyn Ofiana (EMBA program coordinator) guided the proceedings with ease, while Acting President Indumathi Sivanesan (EMBA Alumni) opened the evening with an inspiring welcome. Overseeing the judging with fairness and professionalism, Ali Yousuf Zaidi (Guest Toastmaster) took over the role of Chief Judge.

From managing time and logistics to tallying scores and supporting the evaluations, our appointment holders contributed behind the scenes to ensure the contest flowed seamlessly.

After an evening of laughter and learning, the judges declared the winners in both categories.

Humorous speech contest:

• 1st place – Simon Bernie (EMBA alumni)
• 2^nd place – Jeazel Dsouza (EMBA alumni)
• 3^rd place – Dharani Nagaboosham (EMBA SG B26)

Evaluation speech contest:

• 1^st place – Simon Bernie (EMBA Alumni)
• 2^nd place – Jeazel Dsouza (EMBA Alumni)
• 3^rd place – Somesh Saurabh (EMBA SG B25)

On 6^th September 2025, the 1^st and 2^nd place winners will carry the club’s flag at the Area J1 Contest, facing participants from NUS Toastmasters Club, NTU Alumni Toastmasters Club, and Singapore Kannada Bilingual Toastmasters Club.
