Ngurah Swajaya, Ambassador of Indonesia, visits SP Jain

 

SP Jain School of Global Management had the honour of welcoming the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, His Excellency Mr Ngurah Swajaya, along with his senior diplomatic team including Ms Veronica Enda Wulandari, Education and Culture Attachè, and Ms Ratna Lestari Harjana, Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, to the Singapore campus on May 8, 2019.

They were warmly hosted by Dr John Fong, CEO & Head of Campus (Singapore), SP Jain, and the faculty, staff, and Indonesian students of SP Jain, including Ms Olivia Marzuki, Global MBA alumnus and current ChannelNews Asia reporter.

The event kickstarted with a presentation led by Dr Fong on the Engaged Learning Classroom (ELC), where he demonstrated the technology and innovation used on campus to inspire a robust education for SP Jain students. In his welcome address, Dr Fong said, “We are delighted to welcome His Excellency Mr Ngurah Swajaya on campus and look forward to SP Jain School of Global Management working alongside the Indonesian Embassy in our scholarships and student recruitment efforts.”

Following that, Ms Marzuki and our current Indonesian students across various programs including the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Executive MBA (EMBA) shared a few words with the guests highlighting their student life experiences at SP Jain.

Ending the afternoon on a gracious note, His Excellency Mr Ngurah Swajaya added, “I would like to thank SP Jain School of Global Management for inviting us to visit the School to learn more about its programs. This is the first time that I have heard and experienced such technology (ELC) in a higher education institution and that fills me with excitement. After meeting the Indonesian students and alumni from SP Jain, I can confidently say that they will represent Indonesia with pride.”
