Remember:
How has the EMBA program helped you so far?
The EMBA program brings a lot of experience and knowledge to the table. It has completely changed my perspective, introduced me to a broader worldview, and helped me focus more on strategic thinking and build my professional network.
Why did you choose SP Jain's EMBA program?
I joined SP Jain’s EMBA program because of its experienced professors, diverse cohort, well-curated course outline and huge alumni network.
Why did you enrol for an EMBA at this stage of your career?
Having almost 12 years of core experience in SCM, I realised the need to expand my knowledge and skills outside my domain. I wanted to enhance my capabilities and understand business as a whole, so I decided to opt for an MBA.
The ELO Experience
It’s a unique technology that brings the entire cohort together and offers us a highly interactive learning experience, just like offline sessions.
How has the EMBA program helped you so far?
The EMBA program is helping us become future-ready by boosting our careers and making us learn real-life business scenarios. It enables us to explore our potential to the maximum, think critically and apply our learnings in the real world. With students from diverse backgrounds, peer-to-peer learning is a great source of benefit.
Why did you choose SP Jain's EMBA program?
As COVID made the world go virtual, the cutting-edge online technology used by ELO was one of the main reasons I joined this program. SP Jain is truly global as we get the opportunity to learn from highly renowned professors who are experts in their respective fields and bring rich, valuable global industry experience. As the name says, SP Jain is truly global.
Why did you enrol for an EMBA at this stage of your career?
With 11 years of experience in the Banking and IT industry, I felt the need to expand my horizon by moving up the ladder and exploring a different world beyond my current profile. An EMBA at this stage has helped me connect the dots and strategically fine-tune the picture of the corporate world from the business and management perspective.
The ELO Experience
ELO has been a blessing-in-disguise in this COVID era. The flexibility of attending lectures from any corner of the world helped ensure the continuity of our work and learning. ELO offers a perfect classroom-like experience where we actively have live in-class interaction and use features like polls, chat boxes and virtual hand-raise to make the learning livelier.
How has the EMBA program helped you so far?
The EMBA program has given me exposure and equipped me with the skills to look at many things from many perspectives from a strategic point of view. I deal with situations more confidently now.
Why did you choose SP Jain's EMBA program?
SP Jain offers the best education with much flexibility. It understands the needs of working professionals and has crafted the EMBA program that suits my needs. SP Jain is a brand name, and I am happy to be an SP Jain alumnus.
Why did you enrol for an EMBA at this stage of your career?
I have been a specialist for a very long time. I wanted to learn a bit of everything and become a generalist, and an EMBA gives me that advantage.
The ELO Experience
My ELO experience has been as good as face-to-face learning. With no hassles of traffic jams and commute time, it increases efficiency. One can be available with a click.
How has the EMBA program helped you so far?
After one year of studying subjects like Strategic Management, Business Statistics, Marketing Management, Change Management, Operations Management, Financial Accounting, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, I realise my decision-making criteria, presentability, and thought processes have changed. I'm now making the right decision after analysing from all directions. This is due to the case studies and simulations we do in class.
Why did you choose SP Jain's EMBA program?
I found many institutes and courses that offer an MBA or certificate course. However, most institutes didn't fit my criteria as a working professional and family dependency. I was looking for face-to-face classes and class experience based on my schedule, and I learned about ELO (Engaged Learning Online) from SP Jain School of Global Management.
The Learning Experience
Most professors' classes come with fascinating case studies, which are challenging and sometimes based on a true story. You will get tempted to think multiple times. You will learn how to fix things, initiate every detail, and investigate what happened in these circumstances.
I learned from my peers as much as the faculty educated me.
This is an excellent experience, and I recommend it to whoever is reading this post.
How has the EMBA program helped you so far?
As a global product manager, part of my job profile is to grow the specific business unit across the target regions. This requires a sound understanding of several business and economic factors. The learnings from the SP Jain EMBA course have helped me with that. The program has also helped me develop a strategic thinking mindset – how to analyse, interpret the current situation, make conscious decisions, and lay out the future roadmap for business growth.
Why did you choose SP Jain's EMBA program?
Flexibility was one of the most critical factors as a working professional – the program’s weekend evening batches suited me best. The framework of the entire course – academic and practical (case studies and self-reflection) – is crafted beautifully. The subjects cover all the aspects required for business management and administration.
Why did you enrol for an EMBA at this stage of your career?
I am an Instrumentation Engineer. I have been living in Dubai, UAE, since 2011. In my career of 19+ years in the Oil & Gas sector, I've worked across various parts of the world – predominantly in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
When I moved to people management after spending a large part of my career in project management, I realised it was a different ball game altogether! It was clear that I would need to focus, acquire and practise more on my soft skills if I had to climb up further to a senior management role in the coming years. This prompted me to explore MBA options.
The ELO Experience
It’s a beautiful interface. Interactions to/from faculties are as good as face-to-face learning. It feels more mobile and lively compared to Zoom, Teams and other similar platforms.
The EMBA program helped me streamline my career and gave me a perspective on how to leverage my work experience and program learning to maximise my value proposition.
My top 2 favourite aspects of the program
SP Jain’s Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology was top-notch and the best way to learn amid the COVID pandemic. Though classes were virtual, the platform enabled a classroom environment and real-time interactions with peers and faculty. When we met our classmates during the graduation ceremony in Dubai, we didn’t feel like we were meeting for the first time. That was the impact of ELO.
We had a Global Immersion Project in Term 2, where we worked in groups to identify a real-world project, perform research and study, and come up with a theory-backed, practical and real-world solution. The experience of this 3-month project was enriching as we got a first-hand experience in exercising our knowledge of the various courses taught in Terms 1 & 2.
My peer learning in the program was outstanding
We had successful professionals from diverse backgrounds, such as software and hardware engineers, sales and marketing managers, a chartered accountant, financial analyst, production manager, corporate law and company general counsel, to name a few.
It emulated a C-suite executive exposure where I had to work with my peers in case studies, presentations, assignments, and the Global Immersion Project, where learning from each other was great, leveraging our core strengths.
It is worth your time and financial investment
The EMBA program gives you more than a degree and course knowledge – it gives you the confidence to take positive actions in your career and the courage to negotiate the status quo with yourself and the job market or even with your current employer. As you progress through your EMBA, you know better how you can add more value to the business.
Last but not least, you will make wonderful friends who will always support you.
