SP Jain’s multi-country model and the future of learning – MBA Universe interviews Nitish Jain

 

In a candid interaction with MBA Universe, Nitish Jain (President, SP Jain School of Global Management) elaborated how he built the multi-country model, the challenges he faced and how with some luck and a lot of ingenuity, he went from one country to another, scaling his institution.

Talking about the challenges faced during COVID-19 and how it was resolved, Mr Jain said that in 2020, when coronavirus was emerging worldwide, universities were caught unaware. In the article, he discusses how the courses had to be adapted for online and students and professors used Zoom and MS Teams. But, the challenge was that these apps were designed for office meetings and not classrooms; as a result, the student experience was mostly dull and unengaging.

“Fortunately, we had foreseen the rapid growth in online education before the pandemic and developed our own proprietary technology - Engaged Learning Online (ELO). ELO is what we believe to be the future of online learning and is one of the biggest feathers in our cap,” shared Mr Jain.
