  • 1992 – 1994 : Principal Investigator of NTU ARP grant of $5000. Scope – exploration of design and configuration issues for groupware. Collaborators – Schubert Foo, Goh Wooi Boon & Tung Lai Lai.
  • 1995 – 1998 : Programme Director of Berkom R&D funded by NSTB grant of $120,000. Scope – development and deployment of multimedia tele-services over the Singapore ONE broadband network. Collaborators – Goh Kheng Wee and Weiguo Wu (krdl).
  • 2006 – 2009: Principal Investigator of Field Research on Knowledge Societies. University Start-Up Research Grant of $4000.
  • 1-Dec-08 – 7-Apr-11: Principal Investigator of NRF IDM grant of $620,000. Scope - to investigate the business models, market strategies and scenario planning tools that would support any interactive digital enterprise. International collaborators - Omar El-Sawy and Francis Peirera from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, Steve Wildman from Michigan State University’s Quello Centre for Telecommunications, and Marcel Machill from the University of Leipzig’s Media School.
