SP Jain in the News

Dr Karippur Nanda Kumar interviewed by btcn.tv for their show ‘Coffee & Conversation’

Dr Karippur Nanda Kumar, Professor & Area Head (IT), SP Jain School of Global Management, was interviewed by btcn.tv for their show ‘Coffee & Conversation’ in an exclusive two-part series.

In Part 1, titled ‘The Challenges of Digital Transformation’, Dr Kumar shared what digital transformation is and, more importantly, why so many digital transformation projects fail and why several organisations fail to find the outcomes they expect, from enhancing revenue targets to new customer acquisition, and the fundamental industry misunderstanding that real digital transformation can be compartmentalised into simple one-off initiatives.

In Part 2, titled ‘The Role of Digital Transformation in Smart Cities’, Dr Kumar explained the role that digital transformation will play in future smart cities, going beyond ubiquitous hotspots or 5G, to leverage on deeper technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to underpin everything, from smart transport solutions to job creation and large-scale infrastructure innovations.
