Assistant Dean – Executive MBA (Singapore) and Associate Professor – Communications,
SP Jain School of Global Management
Dr Bhanu Ranjan has designed and currently leads a soft-skills program for Executive MBA students of SP Jain School of Global Management, crafting global business leaders equipped to lead in the new economy. Dr Ranjan holds a PhD in Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Effectiveness and has over 20 years’ experience helping individuals and teams with emotional intelligence, negotiation, conflict management, management communication, personal branding and presentation skills. She is a sought-after speaker and actively volunteers for a variety of community-building initiatives, as well as being an officer in the Singapore Armed Force (SAFVC).
To get to the next stage of your career – whether it is to get promoted, start your own business or explore new opportunities outside your organisation – you will need the management expertise, global exposure and professional connections that a world-class MBA will help you foster. The SP Jain Executive MBA (EMBA) is tailored to the needs of working professionals, like you, and designed to help you enhance your managerial and leadership skill set and position yourself as the resilient leader businesses need today.
SP Jain’s Executive MBA is offered in two flexible learning formats – on campus in Singapore (blended learning) and online via our new Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology. Both formats are designed to allow you to continue your work full-time and study your MBA part-time. You can choose to pursue the program in any one of the formats convenient for you.

The SP Jain EMBA introduced me to peers from different backgrounds, nationalities and industries, and created a learning environment that broadened my perspective a lot. We studied using a blend of lectures, group projects, simulations, and real-life case studies, helping me translate the education back into the business with more confidence. The curriculum also covered the basics of finance, marketing, and operations, helping managers like me expand our skillsets and build a strategic approach to leadership.
SP Jain’s Executive MBA has top international faculty, a globally diverse and highly experienced cohort, weekend schedule, and live online classes, all of which come together to give me the perfect learning experience and equip me with the skills to build an agile and sustainable business in the new normal.
Attending classes through ELO has also been an amazing experience for me. It is like attending an on-campus class, except there are more ways to interact with your professor and cohort. We have cutting-edge features like online polling, breakout rooms, chat boxes, virtual hand raise, and live in-class interaction – all of which are absolutely amazing.
I had already received excellent reviews about SP Jain’s EMBA before I relocated to Singapore from London, and this global recognition is one of the first things that encouraged me to pursue the program. The 18-month MBA has a uniquely international approach covering western and Asian case studies and is designed specially to prepare executives for the challenges of the rapidly growing global markets.
The best aspect of SP Jain’s ELO technology is the next-gen learning system which I am proud to be part of. The platform allows us to attend live classes, participate in group work and presentations, and interact personally with the faculty, all in real-time. This tech beats all the existing pre-recorded or one-sided teaching platforms in the market today, and challenges us on a daily basis, helping us to improve ourselves. The lessons from each module can be applied at your workplace from the very next day and it is just like an on-the-job learning experience, which will make this course the future of learning.
The EMBA program has benefitted me immensely by helping me build on my academic and technical knowledge as well as soft skills that are a must at any workplace. I gained skills in people management, personal effectiveness, negotiation and leadership. I am also better able to contribute strategically to my team and handle issues at work more effectively than I could before. If you have been working for many years and you feel that your career has been stagnant, the EMBA program is a good way to kick-start and give your career that much-needed boost.
Apart from the brilliant faculty and the global campuses in Sydney, Singapore, Dubai, and Mumbai, one of the most important features I liked about SP Jain was their ELO technology which allowed us to get a classroom experience even from our homes. With ELO, you appear on a wall in front of the lecturer and you can engage with them naturally. You can even break out to communicate and collaborate with your classmates, and in many ways, it’s so much better than an on-campus experience!
The past 18 months have been full of amazing experiences. As a Biomedical Sciences graduate, I got exposed to a completely new field outside of sciences and public health. The faculty shared, inspired and provided valuable insights with their years of industry experience. Even the peers we studied with consisted of a diverse group of professionals from different industries and this allowed a wide array of creative thought processes and ideas. I have gained a lot of insights from them, which boosted my confidence and helped me better connect with people, be it at work or outside of work.
SP Jain’s EMBA fits my business schedule perfectly, and it has the most cutting-edge curriculum with a mix of finance, marketing, and business operations that work together to give us a flavour of what business is all about.
Another great thing about the program is the virtual ELO room that offers us a classroom experience even though we are not on the School’s campus physically. We are able to be a part of a class and see our classmates sitting all around us while a world-class professor teaches live right in front of us. With high-tech features like live chat boxes, group discussions, lecture notes, and polls, the experience of a physical classroom is simulated perfectly on our screens, and I couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience.
Our EMBA is designed in a way that induces students to think, ask the right questions, analyse, work in teams, communicate professionally and carry a positive attitude. We prepare them to step into the role of a leader. Meet some of our graduates and discover the impact they are making in the business world:
