The SP Jain Toastmasters Club, Dubai held its 24th meeting on 19 May 2018, with many new faces, including the budding Toastmasters from the new Batch 42, alongside the more experienced members. With 36 attendees, including Dr Gary Stockport (Dean – Executive MBA), the meet started with the Opening Speech by Attul Sreenath (Student, Executive MBA Batch 39) followed by a Presidential address by Parmita Debnath (Manager – EMBA Program and Quality Assurance) who emphasised the value of commitment.
The session continued with a few veteran Toastmasters taking educational sessions on the new competency development program called ‘Pathways’ from TMI. New students on-board, Rakesh Kaul and Seshadri (Batch 42) and Fasi Haider (Batch 41), also spoke at the impromptu section of the meeting.
“Toastmasters is indeed a point of difference within our wider EMBA offering. It was great to have Parmita back (after her road traffic accident) and seeing her continue to lead from the front with this strategically important initiative,' shared Dean Gary about the meeting.
